I just got the results from my Advanced Placement United States History Exam today! I got a 5! Out of 5! The highest score one can get! YAY!!!! For those of you who aren’t familiar with AP, it’s essentially where, in high school, you take a college level course and you have an exam on it in the first 2 weeks of May. For the APUSH (As it’s called) test, you have 80 multiple choice questions, a Document Based Question (Where you have to use documents provided combined with your outside knowledge to formulate an essay) and 2 Free Response essays (Exactly how it sounds. You’re given a prompt, you write a thesis essay on it and back it up with what you know). The scale is 1-5, and you “pass” if you get a 3 or above. If you get a 3 or above, you can earn college credit and then you don’t have to take the class in college. Some colleges don’t like that idea and don’t accept any AP credit (Jerks…all that hard work…), some will only take it if it’s a 4 (And in some cases, a 5) but the vast majority will take a 3. Anyway, The test took over 3 hours and the day of the test, I was nervous to death. I really studied hard and felt quite prepared, but I’m always nervous about things. I’ve learned that when I’m confident about some things, I actually don’t do as well. If I have the mindset the other way, I seem to do better. But I’m also just a nervous person. So yeah, YAY!!!!!! One down, quite a few more in the upcoming years to go.

Wise people talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something
